Registration Procedures

 

ISCA Membership

To participate in the conference, you must be an ISCA member at the time of the conference. Please consider the following options:

  1. If you are currently an ISCA member, please retrieve your membership number and status on ISCA Members List before proceeding to registration.
  2. If you are not yet an ISCA member, please consider one of the following options:
    • Join ISCA at ISCA online registration before registration to the conference. Member registration takes up to 48 hours to be confirmed.
    • Choose a conference registration package which includes a one year ISCA membership. Additional fees apply.

 

Authors

At least one author, the covering author, of each accepted paper or show & tell presentation MUST be registered at the conference before Thursday, 30 June 2016.

 

There are three types of registration: Full, Student, and Retired status. Participants registering as retired will be able to cover one paper for presentation and publication, participants with a full registration can cover a maximum of 4 papers. Each paper must be covered by at least one of its co-authors with a full or retired registration. The corresponding paper ID’s will be requested during the registration procedure. Papers without registered authors will be withdrawn from the program and the proceedings.

 

Students

Student fees are applicable only to full-time students. Students must upload a proof of their student status (student ID or certificate), certified by the signature of a supervisor, as a pdf file during the registration process. Student registration will be validated upon receipt of the proof of status.  

 

Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Interspeech 2016. All volunteer opportunities have been filled for the 2016 conference. 

 

Letter of Invitation

Registered participants will receive an email confirming their registration to the conference. Each confirmation email will contain a link to generate a personalized letter of invitation. For information on obtaining a visa to enter the United States, please visit the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs website.

 

Terms & Conditions

 

Methods of Payment

Full payment in U.S. dollars is required at the time of registration. Two methods of payment are available:

  1. By credit card (recommended method). Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards are accepted. Conference Solutions Inc. will be listed as the merchant on your credit card statement.
  2. By wire transfer. Details for a wire transfer will be sent with the invoice via email after selecting this method of payment during the registration process.  An administrative fee of $35 will be charged to the registrant’s choosing a wire transfer payment.

 

Cancellation/Refund Policy

We are happy to accommodate a refund for your purchase if you are unable to find a substitute prior to the deadline. Cancellation requests must be made in writing by emailing Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com. Cancellations received by Wednesday, 17 August 2016 will be refunded, less a $175 administrative fee. ISCA membership fees are non-refundable. No refunds after Wednesday, 17 August 2016.

 

Substitution Policy

Do you know someone else who is interested in attending? Payment of a $50 administrative fee enables you to transfer your registration to another person, simply by emailing Register@ConferenceSolutionsInc.com. Substitutions will be transferred at the same rate as the original registration. Substitutions can be made up until the pre-registration deadline, or at the onsite Registration Desk. For registrants who have submitted papers: Substitute registrants MUST be a co-author of the papers that were submitted with your registration.

 

Badges

Conference identification badges are mandatory and will be required for admission to all conference functions (including social events).

 

Publicity Policy

Each registrant grants Interspeech 2016 the right to photograph/videotape participants and to use such photographs/videos and names of attendees in materials which either represent the proceedings of the conference or promote future conferences.

 

Liability

With paid registration, the participant acknowledges that s/he has no right to lodge claims against the conference organizers should the meeting be altered, hindered, or prevented by unexpected political or economic events, unpredictable forces of nature, speaker cancellations or other unforeseeable events.

 

Insurance

The organizers do not accept any responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Delegates are strongly advised to have their own travel insurance policies to cover risks including (but not limited to) loss, cancellation, medical costs and injury. Interspeech 2016 and/or the conference organizers will not accept any responsibility for any delegate failing to take out adequate insurance.
